M*C*A*L Mission:

M*C*A*L is dedicated to promoting the sport of swimming by making the swimming experience fun and fair for ALL swimmers.  Your child's improvement is our motivation.

For Coach Cal Elder, coaching swimming isn't just a job, it's his life's passion and mission. God put Coach Cal on this earth to teach kids how to swim. ENCOURAGE YOUR FRIENDS TO TRY M*C*A*L TO SEE WHAT SETS US APART FROM THE REST!

M*C*A*L is a privately owned and operated swim club dedicated to promoting the sport of swimming. Our mission is to provide a swimming program for everyone no matter their swimming level. For our more dedicated swimmers, the M*C*A*L coaches emphasize personal improvement, self-discipline and self-motivation through various incentives and awards. Our coaches strive to not only develop successful swimmers, but successful individuals as well.

Magic City Aquatic League "M*C*A*L" was founded in the fall of 2004. Practices are held at the Levite Jewish Community Center. In our first year, M*C*A*L grew to over 100 USS registered swimmers, won the Eight and Under Central SE District Championships and had numerous Southeastern individual and relay finalists. At the 2006 Southeastern Short Course Championship meet, M*C*A*L was the overall highest point scorer in the 10 and Under Girls. We had several swimmers win individual events and we won several relays.
At the 2007 Southeastern Short Course Championships, M*C*A*L placed twice as many relays in Finals than in previous years and continued our rise in overall team ranking.  M*C*A*L also had a marked increase in the number of swimmers who finaled in events, had several Top 3 finishes and saw many team records broken at that meet. At the 2007 Southeastern Long Course Championships, M*C*A*L achieved its highest ranking ever - finishing Third Place in the Southeastern Small Teams Division and 14th overall. M*C*A*L had numerous Southeastern Finalists, many broken team records and a Zone qualifier.
